Sentences to describe Department Stores/ Shopping Mall/ Shopping Centres

1. On the day of the sale, thousands of shoppers queued up early, hoping in vain to beat the rush.

2.The supermarket was packed with late-evening shoppers. The aisles were choked with trolleys.

3.The malls were festooned with flashing lights and colourful decorations, each mall trying to outdo the next.

4.Every floor of the store was crammed with bargain hunters. Everything was priced to go.

5.The carpeted, glass-fronted boutiques were a far cry from the small neighbourhood stores she was used to.

6.Noise was blaring from the games arcade. The patrons, mostly teenagers, were glued to the flickering screens.

7.The huge mall is crammed with shops selling almost everything, from clothes to computer software. It has two big department stores and a wide variety of restaurants.

8.The food court in the basement of the mall was teeming with hungry shoppers and their tired children.

9.The mall comprises five floors of shops, restaurants, arcade and a cinema complex.

10.The girls chattered happily while browsing through the department store’s well-stocked display shelves.
